They were inspired by the “Children of Lir” of Irish legend that turned into swans and cast an enchanting light.The old wardrobes were removed, and we designed bespoke storage with a central dressing table to retain depth and a sense of space. The pretty wallpaper is from Harlequin.Īgain, the pendant lighting was replaced with beautiful handmade brass goblets that create a gorgeous soft light, suitable for bedrooms. Bespoke cushions were made to match new curtains. The existing bed needed to be retained and so we added a bespoke valance and headboard. ![]() In contrast, we put together a scheme that is light, bright and inviting for guests. The guest bedroom was looking very tired, with existing mahogany wardrobes in need of some TLC. Handmade by Spark and Bell, it was tailormade for this space. The contemporary chandelier was chosen for the lovely soft light that the opal shades create, together with the simple and elegant design in-keeping with the architecture of the house. The new headboard, bed, stool and soft furnishings all followed this quiet and relaxing theme with touches of pink in the accessories and reupholstered nursing chair to bring the space to life. The design style was set by the stunning wallpaper we chose from Lewis and Wood. Working with existing bedside tables, wardrobes and chest of drawers, our client wanted a lovely light and calm bedroom. The scope of work included two bedrooms and the reconfiguration of the ground floor. The interior design scheme was complete by the time restrictions were lifted and our shopping list prepared for the day that showrooms re-opened to try the selected furniture before making final decisions. ![]() We worked collaboratively with our clients, with duplicate samples being delivered direct to their home. It began on the day that the second lockdown was announced and developed over zoom. We think of this Putney interior design project as our lockdown baby.
